Debi Jones
Accounts Director
Debi set up Parkside Payroll in September 2014 having left work at another provider. Before that she had had a curtain making business for 25 years. She had joined the other provider 4 years earlier and had discovered a love for accounting and all things financial. On setting up Parkside Payroll with her son Dan, she knew she could focus on running the business her way, not only with day to day accurate finances but with a real focus on the people Parkside is there for. Home visits are possibly her favourite part of the job. Balancing the accounts comes a close second! With the arrival of Katie, Debi has dropped to 4 days a week so she can enjoy some more time on her hobbies.
When not at Parkside Debi has for some years been a keen runner and hopes to rekindle that now when her time and health are better. She also loves to travel, especially to places with interesting wildlife. At home she loves to spend time in her garden with her beloved cats, guinea pigs and reptiles!
Payroll Director
After returning to Sheffield from university and then working in hospitality, Dan joined his mum, Debi, in setting up Parkside Payroll in September 2014. In the early days Dan was a carer for a young man, which was followed by part-time care for his own Grandad for 8 years. Alongside this, the business grew, and he took on the full-time role of Payroll Manager. With his computer-building skills and being a dab-hand at DIY, he has been essential for expansion of the offices. Outside work he is currently fully renovating his house (formerly his Grandad’s) - and doing a great job of it!

Katie Fairbrother
Office Manager
Katie joined Parkside Payroll in May 2022 and is often the voice our clients’ first hear when they call! Katie previously worked as a PA for 11 years, and although she thoroughly enjoyed it, was curious to see how the financial side worked. Having known Debi since before Parkside was even set-up, when a job opening became available, she was excited by the prospect of learning more about Direct Payments from a broader perspective. Katie started as an office administrator but quickly became more confident and eager to learn more, propelling her into the major role she plays now. Her favourite part of the job is problem-solving and talking to our lovely clients! When not at Parkside she is married with three children and three furbabies (dogs). Katie loves spending time with her friends and family, but also enjoys quiet time watching Grey’s Anatomy or a true crime documentary.
Saphy Hampshire
Accounts Manager and Multimedia Manager
Saphy, daughter of Debi and sister to Dan, currently plays two roles at Parkside: Firstly, she helps manage payroll for our lovely families, both payroll and managed accounts! Secondly, having designed our website, she is our media mogul, who is in charge of all of our social media. She works part-time at her home office in Liverpool – often with assistance from her two cats. The rest of her time is spent as a nocturnal tropical mammal conservationist. She recently finished her Masters in International Nature Conservation from Gottingen University (Germany) and Lincoln University (NZ) where she focused on nocturnal mammals in Borneo – and is where she plans on returning in the future to do her PhD.
Lois Myers
Financial Administrator
Lois joined Parkside Payroll in June 2023 and plays a vital role in keeping the office running smoothly. With her two children growing older, Lois wanted to get back to work and explore a new avenue in care – leading her to Parkside. Being highly organised she manages all office administrative tasks, and keen to learn more she has recently started payroll training also. Outside work she loves to spend time with her family, friends and furbabies (two cats and a dog).
Domonique Bertram
Financial Administrator

Dom, as she is known to her family & friends has an extensive accounts background and worked previously in Property Management, which is where she first met Debi, many years ago and they have remained friends since. Married, with 2 grown up children, Dom spends most of her spare time walking, usually out in Derbyshire and loves being outdoors. Dom loves to travel & has been lucky enough to spend many Christmas holidays overseas. She enjoys entertaining and regularly has a house full of family & friends, who she likes cooking for, especially anything hot & spicy.
Doll Proverbs
Filing Clerk
Doll is our newest team member, joining in April 2025. She has familiarity with direct payments as she works part time as a PA. As a very organised and tidy person, she is here to ensure the office is as organised as possible. She is very artistic and creative, traits she has put to use with her level 3 qualification as a nail technician. She enjoys spending time with her boyfriend and family in her spare time - as well as any rabbit-related activites as they are her favourite animal!

Craig Gibson
IT Technician
Craig joined Parkside Payroll in February 2025, working part time he helps around the office organising, doing odd jobs and IT technical support. Craig is finding a new career path after being a teacher for 3 years in higher education (teaching forensic science) and 9 years working in one of the oldest democratic schools in the world. Outside the office Craig enjoys a myriad of hobbies like walking (recently he walked 750km around northern Japan), taking things apart and putting them back together again and reading science fiction, fiction and then converting all that fantasy into his hobby for running tabletop roleplaying games.
